I can't believe it!!  The entire 375 consignor spots have filled up in just over a week.  So, you have a couple of options:

  1. Sign up for the waiting list - email me to put your name on the waiting list.  Please include your name and phone #.
  2. Consign at our Santa Clarita Valley Sale.   Our Santa Clarita sale is the week of April 21st.  Registration is open!  Check it out at www.scvkidsconsignment.com.
  3. Even if you aren't a consignor at the sale, you can still volunteer and get into the pre-sale.  It's a good way to learn about consigning and get the benefits of early shopping.  The more you volunteer, the earlier you get into the presale.  Read more about Volunteering.

 Consignors, please note:

  1. Consignors must be consigning a minimum of 30 items and a maximum of 350.
  2. By registering for the LA Kids Consignment sale, you are agreeing to the terms outlined below in the Consignor Agreement.
  3. You must pay your registration fee ($10) to hold your Spring 2009 spot.
  4. Please make sure that you have read the Consignor Information page and Product Tagging Instructions before you register.
  5. Consignors agree to review the CPSC website to determine that none of their items has been recalled at www.cpsc.gov.  Additionally, LA Kids Consignment recommends signing up for CPSC alerts for children's recalled procucts at:  www.cpsc.gov/cpsclist.aspx.
  6. Once you have registered, you should receive an email within 24 hours with instructions on how to get your consignor # (returning consignors will keep their same #) and start tagging your items. If you do not receive this email, please check your junk mail folder.  If it is not there, please email me and request an additional copy.  It is helpful if you add my email address lakidsconsignment@earthlink.net to your address book so that my emails do not go into your junk email folder.
  7. Consignor registration fees are not refundable nor can they be applied to future sales after consignor registration has closed.
  8. RETURNING CONSIGNORS - If you have consigned at the Santa Clarita Sale and/or will be consigning at the Spring 2009 SCV sale, please make sure you email me to get instructions on how best to transfer any items between sales.  Please do this BEFORE you begin entering any items into the tagging system.

LA Kids Consignment, LLC

Consignor Agreement

SPRING 2009

In consideration for the opportunity to participate in and profit from the LA Kids Consignment, LLC (LAKC), the undersigned Consignor agrees to the following:

1.  Consignor agrees to hold harmless and make no claim against Kristin Nelson, LAKC, lesser or owner of the space where the sale is held, any volunteer or paid participants in the LAKC, or the insurer of the LAKC for the damage, theft, or loss of any items consigned to LAKC.  LAKC does not anticipate any thefts, damage, or loss and takes every precaution to prevent them, but occasionally these events may occur.

2.  Consignor agrees to waive any and all claims for personal injury resulting from participation in the LAKC from whatever cause either foreseen or unforeseen against Kristin Nelson, leaser or owner of the space where the sale is held, any volunteer or paid participants in the LAKCS, or the insurer of the LAKC.

3.  Consignors will receive 65% of the sales price on items that sell.  Consignors who volunteer and complete one 3-hour shift will receive 70% of sales.  If a Consignor signs up to volunteer and does not complete the volunteer session, Consignor will then receive only 65% of sales.

4.  Consignor agrees that on Sunday, March 29th, 2009 some items may be sold for up to half of the price originally designated by the Consignor if the Consignor has marked Discount on the item tag.

5.  All goods left in the possession of LAKC are at the sole risk of the Consignor.  Consignor agrees that it shall assume and bear all risks regarding consigned goods, and will hold LAKC exempt from any and all liability.  Should items be lost, stolen or damaged, LAKC is not responsible to compensate the Consignor for the items.  ______________Initial

6.  LAKC reserves the right to remove any items from the sale due to wear, poor condition, or stains. Items remaining after Sunday, March 29th at 7pm will be donated or become property of LAKC.

7.  Consignor agrees that no claims will be made against LAKC for any discrepancies involving items placed in the sale.

8.  Consignor agrees that unsold items marked with Donate on the tag will be donated or become property of LAKC at the end of the sale.

9. If you do not come by during the Consignor pick-up times to look through all the merchandise that is missing tags, LAKC will not be able to compensate you for any missing items.  All merchandise without tags that does not get claimed is automatically donated.

10.  Consignor has reviewed recalled items on the CPSC website:  www.cpsc.gov/cpsclist.aspx and testifies that to their knowledge, none of the items being submitted to the LA Kids Consignment sale has been recalled and meets with the CPSC standards for children’s products.  X______________________

Each Consignor agrees to this and must sign a disclaimer form when they choose to sell their items at the LAKC.  If the form is not signed, it is assumed that the Consignor agrees to the form when they leave their items with LAKC for the purpose of consignment.

Consignors- I've found that the best way to secure your tags to clothing is via a tagging gun.  These are typically $25-30+ at retail.  I've set up a special relationship with a vendor so that you can get a tagging gun with one needle and 1000 1.5" barbs for only $7.99 (including shipping!!!).   Just go to:  http://www.bargainprice4u.com.

Also, here is another great way to keep shoes together, affix tags to toys and outdoor gear.  It's called a loop pin.  You get 500 5" loop pins for just $4.99 including shipping!  You do not need a tagging gun to use these.  You can order them at: http://www.bargainprice4u.com.  Alternatively, zip ties work well too.
